Looking at 2024 and 2025 with Nul Kryds for students

New semester is starting and we in Nul-Kryds are excited to start the year welcoming new and old students to a year full of events. The following year will hold various events such as company evenings, field trips, parties and other exciting things. 

• September 6th – 8th: Fieldtrip to the SMM Maritime fair in Hamburg organized by ShippingLab, Danske Rederier and Danske Maritime, sign up is unfortunately closed.

• September 20th: OMT’s Design Cup for maritime students all over Denmark, a sailing day for amateurs as well as the experienced. The day includes transport, sailing instructions, talks about the maritime industry and OMT as well as a free T-shirt. The event is completely free, paid for and organized by OMT.

• September 27th: Maritime Career day at DTU, Organized by Blue Denmark

• October 3rd: Welcome social event for new and old maritime students at DTU, visit events to sign up!

• October 10th: Company evening regarding classification and other maritime authorities, sign up under events

• November 11th: Invitation to participate in GEW fair DK,  Fueling the Green & Innovative Future of Maritime

• November 19th - 20th: Invitation to participate in NATO Maritime Student Innovation Challenge

• January 18th 2025: Christmas lunch (it is a dinner!) a social event where we eat traditional Danish Christmas food, connect, drink and play our one of a kind heeling-game. 

• Week 9 2025 : Company evening with the topic of carbon capture, transport, storage and business. 

• February 2025:  The big event of the spring 2025 will be the 76ths NTHS congress which will be in Sweden.

• April 6th - 8th: We are planning a study trip to Frederikshavn amongst other places, more details and sign up will be available once a schedule has been set. 

• Autumn break 2025: in autumn 2023 Nul-Kryds organized, in cooperation with DTU, the Asia trip to South Korea, and in 2025 the next Asia trip will be held, where shipyards and other maritime companies will be visited. Destination is still to be decided but likely either Japan, Shanghai, Singapore or India.

We in, Nul Kryds, are organizing several events each term for maritime interested students, but we are also using our platform to inform students about events organized by other organizations, to make sure all students can stay up to date with maritime related events. New maritime Bachelor of engineering line

DTU has established a new program "Maritim Teknik" which we are very excited about as the new line will make  the maritime line more visible to the students. At open house we from nul kryds  were very happy to see how many intersted guests we had, and how many joined our tour of our marine facilities at DTU. The line will be very similiar to the old "mechanical engineering with maritime specialization", and will have joint classes with the mechnaical engineering students. The line is different as it has more maritime mandatory courses, but still has a few courses of free choice, so each student can pick exactly what direction of the broad indusrtry they find interesting. The courses will be mostly in Ballerup campus, but the maritime courses will all take place in Lyngby.
