About us
Nul-Kryds is a student union representing engineering students with an interest in the maritime field at the Technical University of Denmark.
The association is independent and consists of volunteers who organize both academic and social events with the purpose of strengthening the link between students and the industry, as well as helping students in everyday life.
The majorty of marine engineering students at the Technical University of Denmark have been in contact with Nul-Kryds at some point during their studies. The association was founded in 1947 on the occasion of the first NTHS Congress. Nul-Kryds has participated in every NTHS congresses since
25th of April at DTU Lyngby 17.15
Invitation to all maritime interested students at DTU to come and help select the new board of Nul Kryds. We would encourage you to participate regardless if you plan to run for a position on the board or not. You get the opportunity to discuss the previous years' events, hear about upcoming events or propose possible events, and of course to have influence on the new board. We will provide drinks and some food for everyone. The agenda will be as follows:

11.00 - 14.30 at DTU Lyngby
The maritime student career fair, arranged by Shipping Lab and Maritime DTU, invites maritime companies and maritime interested students for a maritime career day, with a program packed with interesting talks / presentations from the industry where employees describes their way into the industry from being a student, and possibilities to have informal talks with the companies. It is a great opportunity to discuss thesis project, internships and student positions. If interested, please sign up through following link as food will be provided to all participants:
DTU has established a new program "Maritim Teknik" which we are very excited about as the new line will make the maritime line more visible to the students. At open house we from nul kryds were very happy to see how many intersted guests we had, and how many joined our tour of our marine facilities at DTU. The line will be very similiar to the old "mechanical engineering with maritime specialization", and will have joint classes with the mechnaical engineering students. The line is different as it has more maritime mandatory courses, but still has a few courses of free choice, so each student can pick exactly what direction of the broad indusrtry they find interesting. The courses will be mostly in Ballerup campus, but the maritime courses will all take place in Lyngby.
Next assembly April 25th 2024
Through the generel assembly, the new board is elected and positions distributed. All maritime students are welcome to participate, both if they would like to apply for a position in the board, or if they simply want a say in the new board. this is also a possibility to express concerns or ideas to the new board, if there are any.
Anual social summer Event
An unofficial event, but the heart of Nul-Kryds' traditions, where all maritime interested students are invited for a get together to watch the amazing film Martha from 1967. The night always offers food, drinks and a very strict traditions while watching the film.
Maritime fair
The Fair takes place every second year, where Nul-Kryds attempts to participate with approximately 20 interested students, where you get a chance to experience the biggets european maritime fair for a few days, learning so many new things as well as getting to meet companies. it is a great oppertunity if you are looking for thesis projects or an international internship, to get to see your options.
